*    Read the text in Chinese through your multimedia system. You
     can move cursor, and the reading will continue at the new
     cursor position.
*    Standard OLE support. You can insert DingDang Chinese file
     into OLE aware programs like WordPad, Word, Word Perfect
     etc. You can edit the file inside these programs.
*    Standard GB text file (code page 936).
*    Standard Windows program (print and print preview, recent
     file list, cut and paste, search etc.)
*    Paste to clipboard as bitmap image (can be used for fax).
*    Hide or display sophiscated printer control code (margins,

=== Versions History

Version 4.22:

Add support to input Chinese to any programs such as Word, Wordpad. In
fact, you can send Chinese to any Windows that can be pasted.

Version 4.20:

Input methods major update. The program is built to handle generic formatted
input table files. LianXiang is updated. LianXiang words can be entered by
typing two partial input strings.

Auto remember screen size and position.

Version 4.01:

Fixed several minor bugs. Auto-remember if screen maximized.

Version 3.9:

Fix bugs in prompting string (version 3.91).

Change display font is immediate without need to restart program. Input
windows can use high resolution fonts.  Removed some shareware restrictions.

Version 3.8:

Converting to Windows 3.1. The following files are needed for Windows 3.1
to support OLE feature:

   OLE2.DLL, COMPOBJ.DLL, STORAGE.DLL, MFCOLEUI.DLL

Otherwise the only visible difference is that no toolbar "tip" for Windows
3.1 version.

Version 3.7:

Re-written in VC++4.0 with OLE support. Windows 95 only.

Scalable on screen display and printer output. When reading, cursor will
indicate the text read. Tutoring sample. ESC key switch between input and
main window. English input mode.

Single document interface (SDI) is used instead of MDI. This seems to be
better for the reason of OLE support.

Version 3.6:

Original sound file size is reduced to 3.1MB. Under Windows 95, you can
compress the voice file "dwrite.wav" to GSM 6.10 compressed format. Start
"Sound Recorder" program, open "dwrite.wav", and convert to "GSM 6.10,
8000Hz, Mono, 2kb/s" format.  This reduce the file size from 3.8MB to
about 629K.

Version 3.5:

Change to use the current background color of setup. Previously, it always
use white as background color.  Eable 3d control for Windows 95 version.

Register "Chinese-gb file" document type. Accept drag and drop. Accept DDE
messages. Will open GB file in another window, not another program when
launched from Internet Explore or other web browser.

Add entry "wavPath" in "DingDang" section in program file which points to
the absolute path of wave index and voice file. Usage example:

        [DingDang]
        wavPath=c:\dwrite\male.gb

This will use male voice file. Default is female voice file.

Version 3.4:

Add mouse selection in QuWei input method. Documentation update. 

Version 3.3 (Windows 31 & Windows 95):

Windows 95 version ready with floating tools bar and "tip" text. PinYin
dialog modified. Fix bug in scroll bar with large files. document updated.
To install Windows 95 version:

        1. Install Windows 3.1 version
        2. Rename dwrite.exe to dwrite16.exe
        3. Rename dwrite32.exe to dwrite.exe

Version 3.2:

Delete selected text with backspace. Add print to file option. Fixed bugs
in bitmap allocation and deletion memory problem. Save the screen display
mode and will start in maximized screen initially. Add speak_cancel
bitmap. Cancel speak automatically when window closed.

Version 3.1:

Complete re-written using MFC class with tools bar, status bar, recent
file list, printer preview all standard. File size is unlimited now. Input
dialog rewritten with PinYin, QuanPin, CangJie, QuWei input methods.
LianXian always and can be updated on fly. Reveal all input codes of
character under cursor. Read selected text or whole file in Chinese.
