Naima Green, Artist in Residence, Lecture

Naima Green is the Windgate Center of Art + Design Artist in Residence for Fall 2025. Naima is an artist and educator who photographs individuals and communities to document their vibrant relationships to place and pleasure. Green accesses and prioritizes the nature of intimacy, sensuality, and self-recognition. Oral and written histories are critical to her process; by synthesizing archival research with outreach and conversation with current sitters, she frames picture-making as a continuum and her still images as kinetic, living histories.

Her presentation will be held in room 101 of the Windgate Center of Art + Design.
