Declaring Your Major

At UA Little Rock, “declaring” a major is when you decide which major you would like to pursue. Declaring a major makes your academic goals more specific and maximizes your chance of Graduating in 4 Years without unnecessary courses and extra expenses.

  • To explore your major:
    • Make an Exploratory Appointment with a TAASC Discovery Advisor.
    • Explore major options within the “Exploring Majors” section detailed above.
  • Once you have explored and identified the major you would like to pursue, make an appointment with your major advisor.  Your major advisor can be found on the Who Is My Advisor website.
  • During the appointment, you can be officially declared into your major.
