Miguel Lopez ’15, ’17

A native of Sherwood, Miguel received his bachelor’s degree in political science and master’s degree in public administration (and a certification in nonprofit management) from UA Little Rock. During his time on campus, he was a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. After graduating, he became the first Director of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Programming for the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, where he was instrumental in connecting the Mexican Consulate with the chamber to develop programs aimed at equipping Hispanic entrepreneurs. He started his “dream job” In 2018 with First Community Bank as their Hispanic Resource Officer. Active in the community, Miguel serves on the boards of Just Communities of Arkansas,
Harmony Health Clinic, Goodwill of Arkansas Education Initiatives, and Museum of Discovery. He previously served as a strategic leader for the Southwest Little Rock Business Alliance. Miguel is a 3- year member of the UA Little Rock Alumni Association.
