The overall goal of the class is for you to apply what you have learned from your coursework to your personal and professional development. Specifically, you will explore your personal and professional life in three arenas: (a) your past as a student; (b) your present, as a soon-to-be-graduated senior with a communication background; and (c) your future, as someone with a unique combination of experiences, skills, and interests.
Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to:
- Provide evidence of their growth and work in the six goal areas of the department;
- Build and/or update a professional portfolio of their work for a potential employer or graduate school admissions committee; and
- Advocate for the importance of communication in a professional way.
