Connection, Not Perfection: A Communication Orientation to Public Speaking

Dr. McIntyre is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Communication at UA-Little Rock. She directs both the introductory communication course and the Communication Skill Center, a campus resource devoted to helping students, faculty, and staff develop and refine a variety of communication competencies via one-on-one conference help as well as campus and community trainings. Her co-authored publications have appeared in Communication Quarterly, Communication Teacher, Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education, The Communication Centers Movement in Higher Education, and Best Practices in Experiential and Service Learning in Communication. Dr. McIntyre holds a Ph.D. from North Dakota State University and a Master’s from Iowa State University.
