Arthur Hash: The Daily Carry in a Post-Digital Age

April 1, 2019 at 9:00 am - May 15, 2019 at 5:00 pm

Free

Arthur Hash is interested in objects that become part of his “daily carry.” Objects that help shape his identity. These items, for the most part, no one sees – good luck charms, river stones, and small folding knives etc. He likes the idea of two objects living separately in two pockets and then coming together to create a wearable.

Arthur Hash’s studio practice combines traditional fabrication techniques and limited production-manufacturing methods. He is known for his metalsmithing fabrications. He has been teaching and using 3d modeling and printing for more than a decade and is a voice/advocate for these processes and technologies. This digital approach to design blends with traditional bench jewelry techniques such as enameling and stone setting.

A reception and artist lecture is planned and awaiting scheduling confirmation.
