Community Engagement

As part of the ATLE “Enhanced Teaching and Learning Fellow Initiative,” in FY2018-2019 Dr. Bennie Prince became the Community Engagement Fellow, tasked with attending ATLE meetings and focusing on the pedagogy of internships, the pedagogy of service-learning, and opportunities for enhanced community engagement (including community-engaged research projects).

During her first semester as a fellow, Dr. Prince worked on planning initiatives related to internships and service-learning (including a kick-off Lunch & Learn experience for faculty) and on preparing for a spring speaker. Dr. Prince was also involved in preparing for supplemental work on the summer workshop program. Support for this Fellow was provided by the Office of the Provost beginning in FY2018-2019, and will continue through FY 2019-2020.
