Thanks to support from the Arkansas IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE – grant from NIGMS (P20 GM103429) at NIH), UALR and UAMS were pleased to host a Two Day Genomics Workshop on March 20-21, 2017. Genomics is the branch of molecular biology concerned with the structure, function, evolution, and mapping of genomes. Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary science that combines life sciences, computer/information sciences, statistics/math, and even some engineering in order to analyze and interpret biological data. When combined together, these two fields have the potential for important discoveries.
