Microsoft Security Update causes Internet Explorer, Respondus LockDown Browser to Crash

A cumulative security update, released last week by Microsoft, is causing Internet Explorer to crash when used to access Blackboard.

Since the Microsoft security update only affects Internet Explorer and programs that rely on Explorer, like Respondus LockDown Browser, the best workaround at the moment is to use a different browser.

Students who are required to take a test using Respondus LockDown Browser will have to remove the security update from their computer in order for the browser to work. Click here for instructions on removing the update.
