Amy Frets Appointed New Bursar

Dear Campus Community,

I am pleased to announce Amy Frets’ appointment as Bursar at UA Little Rock. Amy began her tenure as Bursar on July 1, 2020. As Bursar, Amy will oversee the operations of the Bursar’s Office, which includes Student Accounts and the Cashier’s Office.

Amy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Bursar’s Office. Her master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University and bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from UA Little Rock have successfully prepared her for the complex technical, operational, and functional duties associated with her new role.

Over the past ten years, Amy has served UA Little Rock in various capacities. Most recently, she served as Director of Student Services and Retention for the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology. In this role, Amy was involved with recruitment, advising, retention, scholarships, and graduation, and worked to streamline processes to make better experiences for students and their parents.

Amy’s expertise shows that she is uniquely qualified to provide insight and guidance that will help the Bursar’s Office meet our students’ needs while maintaining the integrity and the spirit of our university’s mission and vision. Please join us as we congratulate Amy and enthusiastically welcome her to her new position.

Sincerely,

Steve McClellan
Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration
