Reach 13,000 Food Drive

The UALR Reach 13,000 Food Drive has started and will continue throughout the semester until November 4th. The goal of the Reach 13,000 Food Drive is to collect 13,000 non-perishable items to be donated to the UALR Food Pantry, Staff Senate’s Helping Hands, the 12th Street Clinic which is a non-profit clinic that also provides a food pantry and book donation to their patients and is ran by UALR students as well as UAMS students, and the remaining items will be donated to the Arkansas Food Bank.

Competition

This year, we will be a campus wide competition. Over the course of these three months, we will keep records of each Student Organization and each College Department that donates items to the drive. At the end of the campaign, we will announce the winning Student Organization and the winning College Department. The winning Student Organization and the winning Department that collects the most items will receive a trophy of honor to display.

Events for Reach 13,000 Food Drive

Constitution Day

Date: September 16th

Time: 11:00 – 2:00

Location: DSC Foyer

–        Reach 13,000 Donation Table

–        Voter Registration

–        Free Constitution Handouts

–        For each $1 or non-perishable item donated, a piece of duct tape will be given to tape Dillon Nash (Graduate Assistant) to a wall

 

UALR Fall Festival & 6th Annual Kickball Tournament

Date: October 8th

Time: 11:30 – 4:30 (Fall Festival) and 3:00 (Kickball Tournament will begin)

Location: Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex
