The AIS Student Chapter was also of invaluable assistance in organizing the 2017 CPE Event. Prior to 2017, organizers relied on a manual process to manage the event. This meant that many of the event activities required considerable effort and time to complete.  The Accounting Society enlisted the help of the AIS Student Chapter to automate some of the processes. The chapter organized a project team made up of 2 graduate students, Hemant Kumar and Moyosooreoluwa Kemi-Rotimi, and 2 undergraduate students, Jazzy James and Gene Johnson.

Despite a tight deadline, members of the team successfully managed their academic work and the assignment, completing the project on-time for the event. Participants and organizers were satisfied with the event and the automation process. The AIS student chapter plans to improve the system and make it better for the next CPE Event.
