David is completing his third year as the Head of Episcopal Collegiate School. His thirty year career in education has included a number of schools across the Southeast– McCallie (TN), Charlotte Country Day (NC), Spartanburg Day (SC) and Episcopal School of Baton Rouge (LA). Along the way, he has advanced his personal education earning a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. His dissertation examined teacher decision-making during the planning and delivery of mathematics instruction with a particular eye towards their use of mathematical reasoning.
He believes in the value of UA Little Rock to the city and looks forward to working with the College of Social Sciences and Communications to further their mission.
