AY 2014-2015 Discipline Statistics: Violations and Outcomes

During the 2014-2015 academic year there were 175 reported violations of the student code, a 21% decrease from the previous year. Of the 175 reported violations, 29% (51) were academic dishonesty; 23% (40) were conduct inappropriate for an academic setting; 14% (24) were computer code of ethics violations; 9% (16) were physical abuse; 6% (10) were disrespect for authority; 5% (9) were alcoholic beverages; 5% (8) were verbal abuse; 3% (6) were possession, sale or consumption of narcotics; 2% (3) were falsification, forgery, and dishonesty; 2% (3) were possession of weapons; 1% (1) illegal selling of books; 1% (1) lewd, indecent and obscene behavior; 1% (1) obstruction or disruption; 1% (1) unauthorized possession;  and 1% (1) violation of sanctions. Please note that each discipline case has multiple violations.

During the 2014-2015 academic year there were 175 violations that were resolved, a 21% decrease from the previous year. Of the 175 violations, 40% (70) were found responsible, 24% (42) were dismissed, 20% (35) were mediated, 8 % (15) were banned from campus, 4% (8) were issued settlements, and 3% (5) are still pending.
