Campus Safety Awareness Month 2018

Campus Safety Awareness Month is an event to promote safety and wellness information to the campus community. During the month, Student Affairs, Counseling Services, and Department of Public Safety will utilize this opportunity to educate the campus community on safety issues and tips community members can use to protect themselves. The cooperation, involvement, and personal support of faculty, staff, and students is crucial to the success of Campus Safety Awareness Month.

Thursday, Sept. 13- Campus Safety: Awareness, Prevention and Developing a Survival Mindset

6:00 p.m.-DSC B & C

This training program is designed to instill the survival mindset and teach realistic strategies for dealing with an active shooter situation on campus.

Tuesday, Sept. 18- What You Didn’t Learn in Sex Ed?

6 -7:30 p.m.- DSC B

In this one and a half workshop on sexual consent, we will discuss topics surrounding and involving sex and consent. Do you know if you have or have not received consent? Do you know what consent looks or sounds like? Bring your questions, answers and thoughts on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center, Room 214-B.

Wednesday, Sept. 26-Self Care Fair

10 a.m.-2 p.m.- Ottenheimer Library, DSC Mall Area and Foyer

Counseling Services is sponsoring the Self-Care Fair to educate students and the UA Little Rock community on the importance of proactive self-care, available resources to assist in this pursuit and to promote appropriate help-seeking. This event will be held in the library, DSC mall and foyer.

Sept. 24-28-National Hazing Prevention Week

Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life will present a series of programs to raise awareness about hazing and promote the prevention of hazing.
