It is my pleasure to welcome you to the UA Little Rock School of Education! Our faculty and staff are dedicated to achieving excellence in teaching, conducting meaningful research and providing exceptional service to the central Arkansas community, our State and nation, and abroad.
If you are a prospective student, we offer an array of degrees, certificates, and licensure programs in the School of Education. Offering undergraduate programs in elementary, middle, and secondary education (education minor), practicing educational professionals also may choose from graduate programs in curriculum and instruction, gifted and talented education, learning systems technology, middle grades education, content area education that leads to licensure in several content areas, reading education, and special education. Moreover, our programs include courses from faculty with expertise in educational foundations who teach our candidates how to use research, assessment, and measurement, as well as data analyses and statistics to critically inform their teaching and the study of educational policy. Finally, we offer graduate certificates that lead to licensure as a teacher, an add-on endorsement for dyslexia, and preparation to become a literacy coach.
