Position Overview: Provide overall leadership for all activities related to the site’s production

improvement programs and serve as the MOC coordinator. Provides engineering support pertaining to

plant design, plant modifications, process improvements, and troubleshooting activities. The Plant

Production Engineer will effectively participate in and lead continuous improvement efforts including

Capacity Creation and Effective Efficiency initiatives. Supports decisions and directives of the Site


Job Responsibilities:


Practice and provide training assistance in safe & environmentally compliant work methods as

prescribed by the plant safety, health & environmental policies in order to ensure employee, customer,

and visitor safety and overall site compliance.


Participates in plant’s EHS policies and procedures by ensuring that all processes and modifications to

existing processes have been critically reviewed for process safety, risk management, environmental,

and general safety and health considerations in accordance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, PSM

and EPA RMP) and Momentive’s Process Safety Standards. Supports Responsible Care initiatives to

inform customers in the safe handling, storage, and use of Momentive’s products.


Serves as the site MOC coordinator & leads the MOC PSM program.



Uses structured problem solving techniques, analytical tools and teamwork to improve overall plant


Implements projects to improve product and service quality

Reviews, participates and drives root cause analysis mindset &across the board standardization with

focus on removing defects.

Drives Sigma Score improvement; actively partnering with QA Team Leader

Facilitates recipe approvals and plant production activities Productivity/Cost Improvements

Identify and implement projects to reduce cost, energy usage and improve productivity.

Lead process optimization activities in cooperation with process engineering.

Prepare Investment Proposals (IPs) and close out projects in a timely fashion.

Set high standards for project and maintenance work incompliance with Momentive

Engineering specifications.

Actively drives Effective Efficiency & Capacity Creation Improvements

Actively identifies and leads site process optimization Facility Maintenance

Assists Maintenance Leader as requested.


Directly involved in 360 degree feedback

Participates in Leadership Development weekly meetings

Presents production key performance indicators to Leadership Staff meeting routinely

Give and correct certification tests

Monitor and aid in the progress on yearly departmental goals

Partners with Site Production Leaders regarding production activities and continuous improvement

Participates in departmental CIT meetings

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience with MS Office, SAP and Vantage Point Process Control applications

Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.

Two years of experience in plant engineering or related duties in a chemical process or similar

industries preferred.

Physical/Other Requirements: In order to be considered for this position candidates are required to
