Mike Tramel, chair of the Construction Management Department at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, was recently named secretary for the American Institute of Constructors’ Certification Commission.
Established by the American Institute of Constructors in 1996, the Constructor Certification Commission was created to administer the Constructor Certification Program.
The Commission runs as a self-governed organization outside of the normal AIC Committee Structure, which secures the decision making progress regarding the certification program.
“I have been appointed as secretary for the AIC Certification Commission that oversees the Associate Constructor exam and the Certified Professional Constructor exam,” said Tramel. “The AC exam is what our students have to take and pass to graduate.”
Tramel’s appointment will last from 2016 to 2020.
