The University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s George W. Donaghey Emerging Analytics Center is set to host its 2017 Open House Friday and Saturday, April 7-8.
Each virtual reality tour, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Engineering and Information Technology building.
The event will feature a number of virtual reality simulations and demonstrations crafted by EAC faculty, staff, and students, including a 26-projector immersive CAVE, Cyberith and Virtuix Omni treadmills, and a number of other mobile devices.
Each tour is scheduled to last up to 40 minutes and will include groups of 15 people. Participants will have ten minutes to experience virtual wonders in three of the four stops. The final stop will be the Virtual Wonderland, a self-paced virtual viewing experience.
This family-friendly event requires all attendees to register and present a printed or digital ticket at check in. Guests should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled tour.
Children must be 8-years-old and 54 inches to operate demo equipment.
