Life Skills and Culture Talks v. 1 -- Jan 31st
These workshops are designed to provide students with an alternative, yet common sense viewpoint to strategically navigate through the pitfalls of college and entering the work force. Each workshop covers a range of topics designed to help motivate students to utilize methods to reduce academic stress and ally their fears when entering the job market. The workshops are applicable for any student level (freshman to senior).

Resume Writing Workshop -- Feb 5th or 13th
Great opportunity to receive tips on how to format and write an attention getting resume. If this is your first attempt to write a resume or if you’re looking to spruce up an existing resume, this is a must attend event. Limited seating at this “bring your won lunch” event.

Scholarship Workshop -- Feb 6th or Feb 7th
Come hear about what, how, and when you can apply for scholarships, how to increase your chances in getting scholarships, and learn an easy formula to help write an appreciation letter!

Professionalize Your Social Media -- Feb 21st
At “Professionalize Your Social Media” you will learn all of the Do’s (as well as some cringeworthy Don’ts) when using Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. We’ll also talk about how to write professional emails and text messages. (Hint: beware of the “Reply All” function.) Limited seating at this “bring your own lunch” event.

Come learn some tips and tricks from the Dean on how to prepare an elevator speech for the career fair! This one hour workshop will be geared towards learning what an elevator speech is, how to create your personalized elevator speech, and master the secrets to a successful elevator speech. (Elevator Speech – is a short description of an idea, product, company, or oneself that explains the concept in a way such that any listener can understand it in a short period of time.)

Advising Appointment: Own It! -- March 6th
Get the most out of your advising appointment! Learn how to prepare for your advising appointment, the questions to ask your advisor, and the question your advisor will ask you. The keys to owning your advising appointment will be discussed in this 45 minute workshop.

Career Fair 101 -- March 7th
Hiring representatives will share industry-specific tips for successful resume development and presentation as well as pre-, during, and post-interview fair etiquette. The workshop will include how to conduct yourself at the Career Fair. Come with questions and your lunch. You may bring your resume, but time may not allow for individual review. Casual dress code.
