Celebrate National Distance Learning Week 2022 at UA Little Rock

NDLW TURNS 15! — join us in celebrating National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) Nov 7 – 11!

At UA Little Rock, NDLW presents an excellent opportunity to connect with the online learning community and discover how you can assist in expanding quality online learning right here at our campus.

As we take a moment to share our appreciation of the campus community who endeavor to expand online learning across our academic disciplines, we will be sharing engaging learning opportunities and highlighting a few of the many resources available to faculty at UA Little Rock in pursuit of teaching excellence.

In honor of NDLW 2022 the Online Campus and Office of Admissions have partnered to waive the admission application fee November 7 -11, 2022. Please share the following code with prospective students:

Nov 7 – eLearning Open House

Monday, Nov 7, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Join the eLearning team as we kick off NDLW Week with an Open House, Monday, November 7, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm in Dickinson Hall 101.

We will share information regarding our Quality Assurance Course Review Program, UA Little Rock Online Programs and answer any questions regarding services available to UA Little Rock students, faculty, and staff.

Nov 8 – Introducing Blackboard Ally

Tuesday, Nov 8, 12:30 – 1:00 pm

Accessibility is an essential component of online course design, and Anthology Ally integrates directly within the Blackboard course interface to give users access to helpful accessibility tools. Students are provided with alternative formats of course content, and faculty with an integrated solution for easily identifying issues with content items in need of remediation.

You can learn more about Anthology Ally in our presentation on November 8, where we’ll show how the tool works and how faculty can access it in their courses.

Nov 9 – eLearning Meet and Greet ( For Students )

Wednesday, Nov 9, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Join eLearning and UA Little Rock Online Nov 9 in the Donaghey Student Center (DSC) Foyer as we celebrate NDLW with students. We’ll host a Pop-up Open House for Students with games, door prizes, online student success tips as well as information about Blackboard Student Support and Online Campus Programs.

Nov 10 – Blackboard Digital Teaching Symposium

Thursday, Nov 10, 8:00 am – 10:25 pm

On Thursday November 10th, Blackboard will host a full day of peer-led sessions on digital teaching strategies for the unique needs of 2022. You can find more information about the event, view the full agenda, and register for free on the Anthology website.
