Job description/duties: The CSSC Learning Technology Assistant assists the CSSC Learning Technology Coordinator in day-to-day tasks such as, but not limited to:

-Transporting computers, printers and other equipment to and from CSSC departments, classrooms and labs around campus
-Tracking/processing CSSC inventory, including finding and scanning listed items
-Assisting with equipment installations, repairs, and upgrades
-Assisting other CSSC dean’s staff with other duties as assigned
-Information technology-related skills will be taught on-the-job as needed

Job location: Office in Ross Hall, but Job Performed All Over Campus

Job qualifications: -Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
-Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds regularly)
-Ability to climb ladders and crawl under desks to reach cables and other task-related infrastructure
-Ability to use basic tools such as wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers
-Ability to traverse campus frequently in all kinds of weather
-Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal directions/instructions
-Ability to learn about information technology, including performing setup, maintenance, and repair
-Ability to work unsupervised as needed
-Ability to use PC and/or Mac, particularly Microsoft Office
-Ability to communicate with others effectively and professionally
-An orientation toward customer service
-Ability to work minimum of 20 hours a week (four hours per day) – work schedule will be structured around class schedule, but Monday-through-Friday availability is required, whether mornings, afternoons, or alternating as needed
