TIP Recognition Ceremony

Congratulations, Duke TIP Scholars, from the Jodie Mahony Center for Gifted Education!

For over 41 years, the Jodie Mahony Center for Gifted Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has been welcoming Arkansas’s top scholars to the Duke TIP Recognition Ceremony. Directed by Dr. Ann Robinson, The Jodie Mahony Center is one of 25 gifted centers in the nation to serve gifted children and their families.

Traditionally held in May, scholars arrive on the campus of UA Little Rock and begin their important day with a Scholar’s Day Expert Session taught by one of UA Little Rock’s accomplished professors. Scholars choose from a wide variety of topics ranging from Nanotechnology or Real Estate Law to American Sign Language or Graphic Design. Families and scholars then gather in the auditorium for the real celebration…the draping of Duke TIP medals.
