Additional Services

Laboratory Services

Health Services has limited on-site laboratory services (CLIA-waived testing) including:

  • Urinalysis
  • Strep
  • Mono
  • Urine pregnancy tests
  • Flu

For other laboratory evaluation needs, Health Services contracts with Quest Diagnostics. These tests are available on a fee-for-service basis.

Physical Exams

Health Services offers physical examinations for a variety of purposes. All physical exams are performed on an appointment-only basis.

If you have an official form that needs to be completed and signed by an APRN, please complete any information you can (your name, address, etc.) before your appointment. If the form requires verification of immunizations, please bring your immunization record.

Prescriptions

Health Services providers make a strong effort to select medications that are affordable and often make use of the $4.00 generic medication programs available. If a prescription is needed as part of your treatment, the healthcare provider will electronically submit your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice. There is not an on-site pharmacy at UA Little Rock, however, there is a Walgreens across the street (on University Ave.) and other pharmacies within walking distance. Medic Pharmacy will deliver to the Residence Halls.

Please discuss your treatment plan, including your medications and costs, with your healthcare provider.
