Commons Apartments Highlights
Welcome Goodie Bags – Provided goodie bags to welcome residents back to campus.
Ice Cream Truck – Commons Hall Council brought in an Ice Cream Truck where residents were able to get ice cream.
Haunted Hall – Ladies who Launch got volunteers to decorate the hall and then also to scare students as they walked through the hallway.
East Hall Highlights
The Parlor: This was an event held once a month that gave the residents a chance to showcase their talents in the forms of dance, song, poetry, and many other things.
University Village Highlight
Intramurals: In honor of the overwhelming participation of the female intramural teams, they were awarded the “Trojan Challenge Women’s Champions”.
West Hall Highlights
Polar Bear Plunge: The West Hall Council and Alternative Spring Break group got people on campus to volunteer to be dunked in a dunk tank in March if they reached $100 to donate to the Alternative Spring Break. Some of the individuals on campus who participated were Dr. Brad Patterson, Dean McGee, Judy Williams, Nick Steele and Rikki Turner.
Sweet Chariot – A program where students learned about the Underground Railroad by touring and watching history come to life.
CPR Training Program – A CPR certified instructor came to West Hall to teach residents CPR and allow them to become certified.
Sunday Night Live – A once a month program that had a different theme that allowed residents to showcase their talents. Examples included: Karaoke Night, Improv Night, Art Show
Who’s Who of West Hall – A program where students of West Hall voted for each other in different categories such as Mr and Miss West Hall, Best RA, Best Lobby Manager, and Sweetest Resident.
