Larry English, Danette McGilvray, and Michelle Dy Recognized at Annual IAIDQ Conference

The Intenational Association for Information and Data Quality recognized three outstanding professionals for their contributions to the Information and Data Quality Profession and to the Association.  The 2012  award for Outstanding Achievement was given to Larry English of Information Impact International, Inc., the 2012 Distinguished Member Award was given to Danette McGilvray of Granite Falls Consulting, and the 2012 Distinguished Service Award was given to Michelle Dy, a Consultant for Twitter in the Philippines.  The awards were presented at the IAIDQ Annual Conference in San Diego, CA, on June 27, 2012.

The Distinguished Member and the Oustanding Service Awards were established in 2011 with the first recipient being Dr. Tom C. Redman and C. Lwanga Yonke, respectively.  Both awards are reserved for IAIDQ member.  The 2012 Outstanding Achievement Award given to Larry English is new for 2012 and recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions in the field of information and data quality irrepective of IAIDQ membership or affiliation.

The UALR Information Quality Graduate Program sponsors the only university-based chapter of the IAIDQ.  Dr. Redman, the 2011 winner of the Distinguished Member Award is also an Affiliate Member of the UALR Graduate Faculty.  In addition, Larry English and Danette McGilvray have both been guest lecturers in UALR IQ classes in recent years.
