MAIS student Megan Douglas is going to have a snippet of her MAIS final project published this year in the literary journal Elder Mountain (Issue #7). Megan is studying Creative Writing (primary emphasis) and Art (secondary emphasis).
The final project (tentatively titled The Memory of Objects) is a combination of flash/short fiction and photography that explores the cultural factors that influence the daily lives of Ozark women. The piece that will be published, “Marlboro,” (approx. 1200 words) is a blend of family story, history–both place and consumer history–and photography.
