UA Little Rock upgrades Active Directory

IT Services uses Active Directory to provide support and cybersecurity to computers and accounts used by the campus community. Planned enhancements will provide a more convenient, simplified user experience. One domain will integrate all major applications. Ultimately, by consolidating and linking this service with others, only one account will need to be managed.

The single domain infrastructure is complete. Currently, computers are being migrated from the legacy FACSTAFF and STUDENTS domains to the UALR domain. Migrations will continue until all departments and environments have been moved to the new domain, which is on track to be done by December.

In the coming weeks, IT Services personnel will contact users to schedule and coordinate  Active Directory migration. Technicians are available to assess individual situations before migration and assist each user through the process. Our department is committed to performing these migrations in a timely manner and minimizing disruptions.
