Professor Gallant discusses judges’ recusal in Maggio case

Professor Ken GallantProfessor Kenneth Gallant was interviewed by Debra Hale-Shelton of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. The article reviews a lawsuit against former Faulkner County circuit judge Michael Maggio and discusses the recusal of all five Faulkner County circuit judges. “It’s pretty clear that in a legal community like Faulkner County that it’s best to have an outside judge for something that so closely concerns a judge from this county,” Gallant said. “I would certainly think it’s appropriate to have an outsider be the judge in a matter like this.” (Ark.
