Appendix I: Bar Preparation Skills Requirement

Students matriculating at the law school after July 1, 2016, are required to satisfy the Bar Preparation Skills Requirement to graduate. To satisfy this requirement, all students must pass the Introduction to Bar Preparation Skills course. In addition, full-time students with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or lower after three semesters (excluding summer semester) and part-time students with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or lower after four semesters (excluding summer semesters) must also pass the Advanced Bar Prep Skills course and the Writing for the Bar Exam course. The GPA calculation for this requirement will include summer semester(s) if any courses are taken by the student during the summer. All Bar Preparation Skills courses will be offered as pass/fail courses.
