Inside an Admissions Committee

Photo credit: Jacob SlatonHave you ever wondered what it’s like to be a member of an Admissions Committee? What are they looking for in an application? What makes a strong application? What are some common mistakes applicants are making?

Attend this informative workshop to get an insider’s view of the admissions process.  At the workshop we will break down each element of the application to examine its strengths and weaknesses.  Attendees will then break into small groups and create their own Admissions Committees to determine whether to admit, deny, or waitlist their applicants. The event will conclude with a discussion about the merits of the applications and attendees will be provided with resource guides to help them prepare their own law school applications.

This event will provide general information about the admissions process and admissions committees.  The information presented will not be specific to the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and participants should not expect participation in the workshop to guarantee their admissions to the law school.
