COVID-19 Public Resources

Is the Coronavirus at Bowen?

There was a rumor that a student had direct contact with someone who had been diagnosed with the Coronavirus. At this point, we are not aware of anyone in the law school community who has had direct contact with anyone diagnosed with the virus or is in quarantine for exposure to the virus. We will update you if anything changes on this front.

Legal clinic access

The legal clinic is closed to the public until further notice, and all the staff is working remotely. If you need assistance, call 501-916-5492. Staff is also reachable via email.

Law library access

The law library is closed until further notice. Limited reference services will be available via phone. Call the Reference Desk at 501-916-5496.

We look forward to welcoming you back into the building once this event has passed.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe.

I am planning an event. Can I reserve a room at Bowen?

Until further notice, non-University persons and organizations cannot reserve rooms at the law school. If you have questions, please contact Rebecca Nugent at 501-916-5447.

Site visits by admitted students or those interested in attending Bowen

Effective immediately, we are preventing all public visits to Bowen. However, we are available by phone (501-916-5437) or email (mrweigel@ualr.edu) to provide admissions counseling, Bowen insights, or answer any questions you might have about law school.  If you want to arrange a face to face Zoom meeting that is available too (email mrweigel@ualr.edu to schedule a session).  Once this crisis has passed, site visits will resume and we will welcome you then.
