Bowen Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty

The Bowen Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (BCADP) was founded in 2011 as the first-ever student chapter of the Arkansas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty.  The organization’s mission is to increase knowledge and awareness of death penalty policy in Arkansas and around the country and its goals include:

  • Encouraging a dialogue about the death penalty among University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of law students and faculty as well as members of the community, including abolitionists, death penalty supporters, and those who are undecided
  • Empowering individuals to unify their abolition efforts
  • Educating the public about the social, ethical, and economic benefits of abolishing the death penalty in our state and in our country

BCADP is open to the expression of all viewpoints, and does not antagonize anyone, regardless of their support of its mission.
