Living Learning Communities
Living Learning Communities (LLCs) are about connections. LLCs connect what happens in the classroom with your experience living on campus. When you join a LLC, you are assigned to a floor in UA Little Rock Campus Living with others who share academic goals and interests. Many of the activities will occur in the residence hall and some of your shared classes will be taught there, too. Connecting the classroom with the residential community creates a support system like no other.
Why join an LLC?
Studies show that students in LLCs develop friendships and become more engaged in the campus environment than non-LLC members. This increased participation and network of support leads to higher grades and more satisfaction with the general college experience. Consider these two LLC options:
- Trojan Explorers Living Learning Community
- For those who have not selected a college major or have selected one but would still like to explore other options
- Trojan Soar Living Learning Community
- For those who would like to sharpen the reading and writing skills that are necessary to success in college
