West Rock Baptist Church Trunk or Treat

By Allie Woodville

West Rock Baptist Church held its annual Trunk or Treat community event on Halloween night from 6-8 pm. West Rock Baptist has held this event for several years now and has given kids a safe place to dress up and trick or treat on Halloween.

“The most significant thing that we have done through Trunk or Treat is connecting with families, no matter what the dynamic of that family is. This event is a way to connect with the community and the families that make up the community,” said Pastor Mark. Pastor Mark and West Rock Baptist have worked hard to help make the community become a better place for families and children, and the annual Trunk or Treat helps in achieving this goal.

Pastor Mark says he’s glad that West Rock Baptist is so involved in the community and offers community events and services. “We really just have the goal of being a place that people can come to and trust in,” said Pastor Mark. The Trunk or Treat event gave families a chance to connect, kids the opportunity to play in costumes, and offered plenty of food and candy.

The annual Trunk or Treat event was especially special the year because it was also used to advertise West Rock Baptist’s Awana program. The Awana program combines playtime and worship, and the kids can win prizes as they learn Bible verses. Awana at West Rock Baptist started September 9th but it’s not too late to join in on the fun!

Even though Halloween has come and gone, it’s never too early to start planning your costume for West Rock Baptist’s Trunk or Treat event next year!
