Nanotechnology Center Undergraduate Student researchers participated in the UALR Undergraduate Expo held April 26th and won several awards.
First and Second place in the Technology Category
- “Large Scale Graphene Systhesis by Radio Frequency Chemical Vapor Deposition” by Jimmy Shyaka of Little Rock, Systems Engineering Major mentored by Dr. Enkeleda Dervishi. Jimmy Shyaka will have a chance to participate at the annual “Posters on the Hill” event organized by the Council on Undergraduate Research in Washington DC.

Third place in the Interdisciplinary Category
“Controlled Morphology of Silver Nanostructures” by Morgan Whitlow of Hot Springs, Biology Major, mentored by Dr. Alex Biris. Morgan was also featured at the Arkansas Democrat Gazette April 27th edition and UALR News in April 29th.
