UALR Hosts Global BioNanoTox Conference Oct. 23-24
Scientists and researchers focusing on biology, nanotechnology, and toxicology will present and discuss their research at UALR during the third annual global BioNanoTox and Applications Research Conference Oct. 23 to 24.
The conference provides opportunities for researchers in chemistry, biology, nanotechnology, toxicology, and medicine to share their knowledge and applications on optimizing health care and controling infections.
Sessions include bridging the gap between biology, chemistry, nanotechnology and applications for medicine, environmental science, and agriculture; highlights in chemistry and chemical applications, biology foundations, and computational sciences; material science, nanotechnology, and other highlights in nanoscience; and markers and modulators of cell and tissue injury.
Scientists expected to lead the discussion sessions include Dr. Jeff Gaffney, chair of UALR’s Department of Chemistry; Dr. Jerry Darsey, UALR Department of Chemistry; Dr. Andres Caro, assistant professor of biology at Hendrix College; Dr. Michael Borrelli, director of Radiology Research at UAMS; Dr. Hans Mannherz of Bochum, Germany; biology professor Dr. Raphael D. Lsokpehi of Jackson State University; and Dr. Alexei Basnakian, associate professor at UAMS.
Abstracts or papers have been posted on the conference website.
