More than 1,000 students graduated from UALR this fall at commencement ceremonies at the Jack Stephens Center Thursday night. The Office of Records and Registration said 1,050 students applied to graduate this fall, an increase from fall 2007.The total included 744 who completed their studies this fall and another 316 who finished up during the summer term.

Anderson said in his address to the graduates and their families and friends filling the arena. “We hear today about the stock market going up and going down. But with your degree you have a treasure, an investment that no one can ever take away.”
