Scholar Lands Motorola Foundation Internship
Shuja Ryaz, a second-year UALR Donaghey Scholar majoring in Physics, has received a Motorola Foundation Science, Technology and Society scholarship from The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.
The National Merit finalist from Pulaski Academy will receive $5,000 to defray expenses at the center. He will also receive a stipend from the State of Arkansas.
Ryaz, who is majoring in physics, is the youngest of three brothers who have also been Donaghey Scholars. The eldest, Hassan Ryaz, was UALR’s Whitbeck Award winner last year and is a first-year medical student at UAMS.
