UALR’s fall career fair, Career Connection Day, is set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7,  in the Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Halls B and C. The early registration deadline for employers is Sept. 23.

Career Connection Day is coordinated by the Cooperative Education Program and Counseling and Career Planning Services at UALR.

“Our staff is focusing on bringing the networking event back to a location that will gain more exposure among UALR students,” said Amy Rebick, job development specialist with the UALR Cooperative Education Program. “With faculty outreach, increased advertisement efforts, and more tailored marketing for each employer, we strive to increase the number of qualified candidates employers can expect to meet in October.”

Employers may register online. Returning employers may log onto their Symplicity account. First-time employers to participate in the fair may click on “Participant Registration” and proceed to the event registration form. Early registration and the payment deadline is Sept. 23. Late registration to include an additional fee of $25 will be available until Sept. 30.

Registration fees are $275 for corporations, $175 for government and nonprofit organizations, and $125 for UALR programs. The registration fee includes the Employer Networking Luncheon for two representatives. The cost is $15 for additional representatives and $100 for additional tables.

Employers are asked to complete their profile information as fully as possible, including adding open positions that students may view prior to the career fair. This helps students to be better prepared when they meet employers at the event. Students will also be asked to post their resumes on Symplicity for employers to preview candidates.
