Bowen Hosts Day-Long Course on Animal Law April 2

The Student Animal Legal Defense Fund will present a day-long continuing legal education (CLE) course in Practical Animal Law on Friday, April 2, at the UALR Bowen School of Law.

The CLE is co-sponsored by the Humane Society of Pulaski County, and participants will receive six CLE credit hours including one ethics hour. Registration for the course is $75. Proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Pulaski County and Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals (CARE).

Local attorneys and UALR professors will present the course, which focuses on practical information for lawyers who advise clients who have a problem with domestic pets. Sessions will feature information on Arkansas’ animal cruelty law, estate planning, enforcing ordinances, liability, ethics, and agricultural animal law.
