The holiday season and the end of the fall semester means a cornucopia of performances by UALR musicians, singers, and guest artists through the end of the year.

Here is a schedule of events for December:

• The UALR Opera Theater will present a holiday production of the “The Christmas Box,” featuring the newest young talent in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert in the UALR Fine Arts Building. Tickets $15 general admission, free for UALR students, and $5 for other students. Call box office at 501-569-8993.
• UALR Jazz Ensemble; 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10; Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall; Fine Arts Building. Free and open to the public.
• UALR Percussion Ensemble and Trojan Pep Band; 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11; Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall. Free and open to the public.
• UALR Wind Ensemble, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13; Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall. Free and open to the public.
