Disability Expert to Visit Campus Oct. 14

L. Scott Lissner, Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator at Ohio State University, will spend the day at UALR Thursday, Oct. 14, consulting with the campus community and discussing disability access issues.

Lissner’s visit is an outgrowth of Chancellor Joel E. Anderson’s announcement at the University Assembly in August that he wanted to “push the re-set button on the discussion of disability issues and policy” at UALR.

Lissner also will facilitate a day-long workshop from 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, on the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 and its impact on institutions and service providers. The workshop will be in Ledbetter Hall A of the Donaghey Student Center.

Workshop informational and registration materials are posted on the Ark-AHEAD website.
