College of Business Ranks in Top Tier

U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges guide has ranked UALR’s College of Business among the country’s best business programs for the third consecutive year.

UALR’s program was ranked among the Best Undergraduate Business Programs for 2013, moving up 13 places from the rankings in 2012.

“This is our third year of ranking with U.S. News, and each year we move up.” said Dr. Jane Wayland, UALR’s Stephen Harrow Smith Dean of Business. “Our faculty are to be congratulated for this year’s recognition and the excellent education provided to our students.”

Annually, the publication reviews more than 1,400 colleges and programs of business for the guide. Of those 1,400 business schools and programs, only 386 receive national ranks designated in the “Best Business Programs among Colleges and Universities” list.

For undergraduate business school rankings, U.S. News surveyed deans and senior faculty at undergraduate business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
