‘America’s Next Top Model’ winner to speak March 12
Whitney Thompson, winner of cycle 10 of “America’s Next Top Model,” will speak at noon Tuesday, March 12, at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Donaghey Student Center, Room C.
Thompson will share her experiences in “Breaking Down Barriers: A Plus Size Figure in a Size Zero World,” relating how she never let self-esteem, body image, or society hold her back.
The talk is free and open to the UALR campus community.
Thompson will delve into the lessons outside the classroom that young people of all shapes, sizes, and colors should learn so they can avoid falling into the downward spiral of pleasing others.
Her discussion is designed to inspire participants to take on the world after hearing the ways they can deal with their own self-esteem and body image, no matter what their size.
A light lunch will be served. The talk is sponsored by UALR’s Office of Campus Life‘s Power of Women Programs. For more information, call 501. 569.3308.
