Exhibiting artist Martha Barber, a member of the UALR art faculty for years, died Monday, June 14. She was 90.
UALR will host the 2nd Congressional District High School Art Competition May 13 through June 4. Rep. Vic Snyder (D-Ark.) will announce the winner at a reception at 5:30 p.m. May 14 in the UALR Galleries located at the Fine Arts Building.

The Arkansas Arts Council recognized David H. Clemons and Mia Hall, both UALR art professors, at its annual Governor’s Arts Awards ceremony Oct. 6 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Clemons and Hall received Individual Artist Fellowships from the Arts Council for their work in contemporary and traditional crafts.
