Flu shots available beginning Sept. 28

UA Little Rock Health Services will offer flu shots to the campus community beginning Monday, Sept. 28.

Health Services will not offer a flu shot clinic this year due to COVID-19. In collaboration with the School of Nursing, flu vaccinations will be administered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday from Sept. 28 to Oct. 16.

Those who are receiving a flu shot are required to wear a mask, should dress for easy access to the upper arm by wearing short sleeves, and should be prepared to show the green thumbs up from the daily COVID-19 online screening. Your temperature will be taken with a no-contact infrared thermometer.

Those with health insurance should bring their insurance card to their appointment. Health Services will scan your card and bill insurance on your behalf. Most Insurance companies cover 100 percent of the cost of the flu vaccines with no co-pay, co-insurance, or any out-of-pocket expense. If your insurance does not cover the flu vaccine, you will not be charged. Those without insurance will receive the vaccine at no cost as well.

Call Health Services at 682-6363 or 569-3188 to schedule your appointment.
