Trojan Outstanding Advising Award open for the third year

Outstanding Academic Advising Award
Nominations for the Trojan Outstanding Academic Advisor Award are due Feb. 26.

UA Little Rock encourages students, faculty, alumni, and administrators to recognize academic advisors who go above and beyond with the third annual Trojan Outstanding Advising Award.

This award program highlights the importance of appreciating advisors who help students navigate throughout their academic career and work toward achieving their dreams. Nominees will be entered to win a $1,000 cash award. Those eligible include professional academic advisors who have been employed by the university for at least a year and hold a position below the rank of director of Student Services.

The selection committee will look for a number of qualities or practices that set the nominee apart, such as their efforts to create helpful, positive relationships with advisees and support the needs of a diverse student population.

The recipient of the award will be announced on Thursday, April 8.

All nominations are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. Although the advisors are nominated by others, they will also be notified and asked to complete an application packet by 5 p.m. Monday, March 15. To submit a nomination letter or application packet, visit the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost website.
