UALR Nursing receives $96,000 grant from Blue & You Foundation

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Department of Nursing received a $95,801 grant from the Blue and You Foundation.  The grant was awarded as part of the Manikin Replacement Program and will replace outdated and unsupported human patient simulators with a SimMan3G, for use by nursing students.

The Blue & You Foundation for Healthier Arkansas awarded a total of $2,942,858 for 40 health improvement programs in Arkansas.

“Our grants this year went to programs across the state that address such issues as nutrition and exercise, dental health, and medical professional education,” said Patrick O’Sullivan, executive director of the Blue & You Foundation.

Special thanks to Dr. Jeff Carmack and Ms. Leah Thorvilson for their work in obtaining this grant.
